I can remember Carole Anne Ford pouting at the camera in a publicity shot ... the caption said that she was going to be appearing in a sci-fi BBC serial called "Dr. Who" - and I can remember being absolutely fascinated by the title, and promptly resolving to watch it (mind you, there were only two TV channels in those days, so there wasn't exactly a lot of competition).
