For those that have never experienced an Imax theatre, it is an experience. It is a huge curved screen with multiple projectors and the speakers are located behind sectors of the screen. Seating is limited (about 75) and if you sit in the front row the screen actually extends back over your head and behind you on both sides. The film that runs the projectors is about 3" wide and runs very fast so the length of the show is only about 40 minutes.

I had a few hours to kill in Hutchinson last year and went to the Science and Space Museum. They were showing a film on NASCAR. It was awesome! Imagine the view from the driver's seat rubbing bumpers at 180 mph with 80db engine noise coming from all sides.

Must check to see if the Big Bang film will be shown in Kansas!
