I've been wondering if anyone here has ever read the book Painting the Dream by David Chetlahe Paladin, a Navajo who became a shamanic artist and healer. After WWII, he became a protege of Marc Chagall, visited shamans and learned how to use the drugs, and turned out some very unusual and fascinating paintings. His life story is nothing short of amazing!
