I'm all for trashy novels that entertain and take you away to a place where reason and logic and fact are not important. I love them in fact. But if Dan Brown has made you "feel smarter" to the degree where you employ latin to describe this advancement in yourself, then who am I to argue ? I was clearly wrong to attack the man for giving people the idea that they where educating themselves in science and history through reading his novels.
