Dear Friends,
My mother is getting a Congressional Gold Medal for her service
in the Women Airforce Service Pilots (WASP) during WWII. My
mother wore Army boots (and flew P51 Mustangs) and I am very
proud of it. Go see "Congressional Gold Medal for the Women
Airforce Service Pilots (WASP) of WWII, Jan. 29, 2010 at
[

"The WASP Congressional Gold Medal Ceremony will take
place on Wednesday, March 10, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. in the
U.S. Capitol"
The picture of my mother, "Barbara Willis Heinrich, 43-W-4

My Aunt also was a WASP and she will be getting her own
Gold Medal. Her picture, Betty Heinrich Berkstresser, 43-W-4
Classbook Photograph is at [

Her BFF, Marion Carlstrom Trick, 43-W-5, [

( [

My father wasn't allowed to enlist in the military because he
was part of teams involved in creating aviation gasoline,
synthetic rubber, and eventually high explosives for use in
two different "implosion devices" during WWII.
Yours,
Paul H.
