I was trying to think of a way that (the names) Roxanne and Hermione might be related ... you mentioned Alexander, who married Roxane, who was the daughter of Oxyartes; fter Alexander's death, poor Roxane and her son were killed by someone called Cassander. Hermione was the daughter of Helen of Troy, and married first Orestes, and then Neoptolemus (who said she'd been betrothed to him first); but Neoptolemus subsequently came to a sticky end, for which some people blamed Orestes. Roxane, however, was an historical character; Hermione only a mythical one.

So, no, I really can't think of any connection at all!
