Having been a net user since 1997, starting on the old alt. various history groups and others. I miss those alt news groups. Anyway, I was wondering if anybody thought that some people had given up on normal face to face human encounters in favour of net based communication ? I have heard of people who live through their computers, and one girl I knew had her services disconnected as her net usage was out of control.

As much as I use the net, actually a lot less than I did up to two years ago, I still think it is better to communicate in person, F2F.

Having said that, there is no other medium which can link people around the wordl together at the same time.

I think it is a question of balance.
