I'm a great believer in the 'two second rule'. But it does mean I do a lot of slowing down simply to avoid running into the idiot who has just cut in front of me.
It puzzles me why some drivers - and they appear to be the majority - simply have to be in front of whoever or whatever is in front of them. It's like they suddenly experience an insanely irresistible impulse to be 'the car in front'. Perhaps they feel 'challenged' by the driver in front of them. I really don't understand it.
There's nothing at journey's end worth injury or death, so why do so many drivers take such unnecessary risks?
Like Premalatha says about expensive-car-drivers, bad driving has nothing to do with nationality. Personally, I think it's a universal human condition, and one that would make for an interesting Psychology study.
