It hides the Recycle Bin icon whether you're using the classic or new Start menu.
Use Notepad and copy and paste the following code into it:
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\HideDesktopIcons]
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\HideDesktopIcons\ClassicStartMenu]
"{645FF040-5081-101B-9F08-00AA002F954E}"=dword:00000001
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\HideDesktopIcons\NewStartPanel]
"{645FF040-5081-101B-9F08-00AA002F954E}"=dword:00000001
Save the document and call it
Hidebin.reg. Then double-click the file to import it into the registry.
Right-click on the desktop and click on Refresh.
Voilla! Your Recycle Bin has vanished from your PCs desktop.
