Well......it won't be much comfort, but on the theory that misery
does love company (though I understand that this love is unrequited; company doesn't love misery), at least you can know that, right this minute, endless other poor slobs are suffering the same slings and arrows, and that, apart from the poor goob who is
literally having the worst time in the world, there are always people worse off than you are.
