When Jeff and I were heading off on our honeymoon we stopped at a gas station right before we got on the interstate to fill up ........ Jeff heard meowing coming from our trunk and opened it...... fortunately he managed to grab my cat that came bounding out of the trunk before she got away ...
We headed back home and put her back in the yard, she must have jumped in the trunk while Jeff was putting our bags in it.
I'm just so thankful that we stopped for gas only five minutes or so from the house and that we weren't miles and miles down the road! I don't know how long the cat would have survived in a hot trunk .......
