Only difference in my experience from David's is that we only got a Georgia, not a Tiffany, and we said that we'd consider it if they were prepared to put Louise up in a villa in Tuscany for the week (if they had done, the rest of us would have joined her a day later).

The thing that really got me was the gormless persistence of these nincompoops. I was remarkably rude about the whole thing in particular, and the contrived artificiality of BBC "reality" stuff in general, to our Georgia, who just prattled blithely on as if I'd expressed eager interest. At village meeting after village meeting (Louise went -- I couldn't be bothered to spend my time on this sort of inanity) they were told, by almost every family in the village, that nobody would stand in their way if a majority wanted to go for it, but there is no way we were taking part.

Anyway, must dash -- I want to watch Wales thrash Scotland.
