Years ago there was a little outfit near where I lived that specialized in providing handmade chocolate truffles to some of the best restaurants in the US. To balance out over-runs and to help with economies of scale they set up several local coffee shop outlets serving their truffles along with a selection of coffees to die for.
At restaurants these truffles would have cost an arm and a leg, and even at the outlets they were still expensive, certainly not your casual Friday night date fare. But when, on special occassions, I could go there I came out walking several inches above the ground-- and more importantly
-- so did my date.
