The sed festival depiction in Niuserra’s sun temple represents the oldest known example of this kind of ritual celebration of kingship in Ancient Egypt. Although generally accepted by scholars, the reconstruction made byKaiser in the seventies (the only one existing in this sense) is nonetheless not entirely sound and presents many doubts.
