As we prepare the edited volume Teaching Ancient Egypt
in Museums: Pedagogies in Practice (Routledge 2024) for
publication, we are delighted to introduce the Teach
Ancient Egypt website:

[teachancientegypt.org]

Teach Ancient Egypt will meet two main goals. First, it
will serve as a library of free teaching resources for
learners of all kinds, including videos on key topics,
lesson plans, syllabi, coloring pages, PowerPoint slides,
and language-learning materials, created and vetted by
Egyptologists and other experts. We envision the website
as a launchpad where classroom teachers, museum educators,
parents, self-guided learners and others can find
accurate, accessible resources for learning about the
ancient Egyptian world. Second, the website will host
a reflective teaching blog, where members of our
professional community can share their experiences and
insights into their current teaching practice, helping
our field explore new methods and push our pedagogical
boundaries.
