We are happy to announce the launch of AKU-PAL, being a
dynamic palaeography of hieratic and cursive hieroglyphs.
It contains digital facsimiles of hieratic and cursive
hieroglyphic signs drawn by the project team. AKU-PAL
also provides material from collaborating researchers.
In addition, the project has digitized numerous signs
from Georg Möller’s “Hieratische Paläographie” which
also have been made available in our web tool.

Even in its current state (beta version), AKU-PAL offers
various parameters for searching individual graphemes,
dating, texts, and objects.

An English interface is in preparation. Updates concerning
features and content will be published in future stages.
