For the first time in 32 years, research has been undertaken at the
important Predynastic site of Naqada. Geoffrey J. Tassie reports on
the EES / University of Winchester Naqada Regional Survey and Heritage
Management Project, detailing the means of protecting this site that was
critical in the formation of the first nation state.
