ACME (the Society of Friends and Associates of the Museo Egizio,
Turin) has the pleasure to announce the following lecture:


Prof. Pierre TALLET
Professor of Egyptology at Paris-Sorbonne University

The discovery of the oldest papyri of Egypt in Khufu’s harbour
in Wadi el-Jarf (Red Sea).

When and where:

Monday 30 April 2018, 6.00pm

Sala Valfrè, opposite the main entrance of the Museo Egizio (Via
Accademia delle Scienze 11, 10123 Turin, Italy).


This will be a rare opportunity for the Italian public to hear about
Prof. Tallet’s work on the Red Sea coast, where his mission discovered
the oldest written papyri known to date, from the time of king Khufu
and also concerning the construction of his tomb, Giza’s Great Pyramid.

Attendance is free—up to room capacity (first come, first served).
