The Honor Frost Foundation invites you to attend its 2nd Annual HFF
Lecture with Dr Jon Henderson

on Thursday, 12 December 2013 at 6 p.m. at the British Academy, 10
Carlton House Terrace, London SW1Y 5AH.

There will also be a reception following the lecture. Registration
is required - kindly use this link.

'Coming of Age: Underwater Archaeology in the 21st Century' by Dr Jon Henderson

This lecture will be a personal account of the development and
perception of underwater archaeology over the past two decades drawing
on research on lake dwellings in the dark, peaty lochs of Scotland
through surveying the oldest submerged town in the world off the coast
of Greece, to hunting for bronze battle rams at the first ancient
naval battle site to be discovered in the Mediterranean off the coast
of Sicily. Most importantly, using the Mediterranean as a case study,
the lecture will consider where underwater archaeology is now and what
exciting directions it might follow in the coming decades.

If you wish to attend, please register at the EventBrite link.
Attendance is on a first come first served basis.

Please feel free to pass on the details of our event to other
potential interested attendees.

The HFF Trustees are pleased to announce that Dr Lucy Blue, Senior
Lecturer at the Centre for Maritime Archaeology at the University of
Southampton, and Dr JD Hill, Head of Research at the British Museum,
have agreed to become advisers to the Honor Frost Foundation.
