(A) first version of LiBER (Linear B Electronic Resources) is now accessible after registration at:

LiBER aims at producing a fully-featured digital edition of Linear B
documents available to date, with the substantial addition of a search
engine for the treatment of logo-syllabic scripts, capable to sort,
filter and combine the documents on the basis of textual,
archaeological,
paleographic and topographic criteria.

All documents are reproduced with the same layout of the current paper
editions and are updated with any new relevant information about
classifications, readings, joins, scribal hands and findspots. For
each document, a text in transliteration, a critical apparatus and a
photograph
with several zoom levels are provided.

LiBER also integrates webgis capabilities, so that search results can
be displayed not only as extended lists of documents but also as
groups of findspots on interactive maps.

So far, all the Linear B texts from Mycenae, Tiryns and Midea have
been integrated to the database, while the Knossos documents are
currently being processed.
