This is an excellent article on the work of Martin Bernal. I always enjoyed reading his debates with Mary Lefkowitz. I either never knew or completely forgot that "His maternal grandfather was Sir Alan Gardiner, the great Egyptologist." Thanks Hermione for bringing this to our attention.
