I suppose we were all young and impressionable once ... and, regrettably, Sitchin is far from being the only author to peddle a load of utter codswallop under the guise of scholarship.
I think the puzzled students should be encouraged to apply
critical thinking skills - i.e., don't just
accept what Sitchin says, but evaluate it and see if his evidence is sound and his arguments valid (here's a clue: they're not ... )
Others have critically considered Sitchin's claims. In my previous post, I mentioned
SITCHIN IS WRONG. There is also Jason Colavito's
Who Built the Great Pyramid?; and Zecharia Sitchin's ancient astronaut theories -
a skeptical archive. (Some of these pages give links to Martin Stower's "Forging the Pharoah's Name" site, which, although unfortunately not online at the moment, contained a detailed scrutiny of some of Sitchin's claims.)
