<HTML>Academics are a quarrelsome lot. Just a couple of phrases I came across in this months edition of Current Anthropology, where comments were made by other scholars on a particular published article:
1. "Garrett argues ad absurdum in cases where a natural death on account of natural processes cannot be ruled out."
2. Another person called the arguments by the original authors "fallacious".
But the paper in question, together with the replies, is fantastic. I highly recommend the journal to anyone and everyone. Subscription is cheap.
Cheers,
