<HTML>It's a classic case of working backward. According to Central Iowa Skeptics, "An e-mail being circulated requesting you to play font games with Microsoft Word by converting Q33NY to wingdings font. The e-mail claims that Q33 was one of the crashed flights, which is patently false. Why give a false flight number? because if you don't use Q33, there's nothing significant there."

They refer the reader to <a href="[www.snopes2.com] Legends Reference Page on Wingdings Hoax</a>

American airlines do not use the "letter-number-destination" format for flights.

By the way, type in NYC and change it to Webdings instead of Wingdings, and you get "I Love NY."

It was an interesting hoax though.
