<HTML>In response to an inquery I received the following reply from the Institute for Exploration, Robert Ballard's HQ at the <a href="[www.ife.org] Aquarium</a> here in my native Connecticut:

Dear Don,

To answer a few of your questions, we did just return from the
Black Sea, off Varna, Bulgaria, and the expedition was very successful
in locating many acoustic targets on the seafloor that may represent
ancient shipwrecks or sites of human occupation prior to a great
flood some 7500 years ago. We will not know what these targets are
until we dive on them with a submersible next summer, so we haven't
done any press release yet, but stay tuned... we will have updates
on our website soon and in our exhibit at Mystic Aquarium.

PS - Our special airs on PBS, October 9th at 9pm.
