You are right, I was looking at the contours on the map and reading raised topography. But looking closely at the pyramid photo, you can clearly see that it is sunken topography. The sunlight is comming in from the southeast, and it is the northwest face of that area that is illuminated. So that proves it is a large hole in the ground. If it were a small hill, it would be the southeast bank that the sunlight would fall on. So well spotted Kat.
Now all I can say is 'grumble, grumble, there might have been a small hill there at one time.'
