I just come back of a week vacation at a friend's place about 5 miles from Boulder Creek, CA at the top of an isolated montain in the middle of the forest. I was able to really use my telescope for the first time, it blew me away.

That's when I realized I could live like that. It's not like it was the first time I was in the countryside, but it was definitly the first time it occured to me that I did not HAD to live in a city. Somehow, I never thought about it.

Now I can hardly think about anything else, especially this morning when I was waken up at the sound of a jackhammer in front of my appartment.
