<HTML>Hi y'all....

I watched America: A Tribute to Heroes (http://www.tributetoheroes.org) tonight and I was very amazed with the way they put together so quickly such a diverse group of musicans. For those of us who lived through and remember the Vietnam era it was amazing to see the show open with Bob Dylan… and include Neal Young.

A performance that really struck home to me, in my pride and determination was that of Tom Petty, I don’t know if it was just me … but every time the camera went to Tom full face…I saw a side of Tom I’d never seen before…… and I was impressed….

I WON'T BACK DOWN
Tom Petty and Jeff Lynne

Well I won't back down, no I won't back down
You can stand me up at the gates of hell
But I won't back down

Gonna stand my ground, won't be turned around
And I'll keep this world from draggin' me down
Gonna stand my ground and I won't back down

Hey baby, there ain't no easy way out
Hey I will stand my ground
And I won't back down.

Well I know what's right, I got just one life
In a world that keeps on pushin' me around
But I'll stand my ground and I won't back down

Hey baby there ain't no easy way out
Hey I will stand my ground
And I won't back down
No, I won't back down

Kat (and Tom Petty !) ... and not backing down....
