You haven't read Gary Posner on the JFK assassination, have you? He demolishes the conspircay theories one by one by looking at the actual evidence. Makes for interesting reading, esp. in showing how, in the world of "alternative" thinking, half-truths, hoaxes, and lies get circulated and cited as facts by subsequent investigators unwilling to do the basic legwork of data-gathering.
Conspiracy theories about JFK may be widely accepted among the public (helped along by Oliver Stone and sensation-seeking TV shows), but that still does not make them right. Only evidence can do that.
