I will repost something I had posted over on the other board. During the Second World War banks everywhere were allowed to remain open in all countries even amid the disasters all around them. None were destroyed or over run. When asked to explain this strange thing a banking official is quoted as saying: " Leaders come and go ... but money if forever "
