There is an abundance of evidence that show
that these tsunami were caused by the 2nd of
submarine landslides called the "Storegga
submarine slides."

A meteor impact certainly can cause similar tsunami
but there is an abundance of evidence that show
that the timing of the 2nd Storegga submarine slide
correspond exactly to the age of the tsunami
deposits. Also, mathematical modeling on the
tsunami that would be created by such a slide
matches what is known about the distribution of
the tsunami deposits.

I guess a person can argue that a meteor caused
the slide and, thus, the tsunami but then it become
an unneeded and seemingly unprovable gilding to
what is known about these tsunami. Meteorite as
the cause of just about anything seems to be a
very popular bandwagon for both conventional
geologists and alternative / cult archaeologists.
