Writer/producer Philippa Langley was instrumental in finding the remains of Richard under the car park in Leicester and now it appears she may be on the track of another ‘lost’ king, Henry I, who may also be lying under yet another car park, this time in Reading.

The Hidden Abbey Project is an exciting new research initiative to enable Reading to tell its remarkable story. The archaeological project aims to uncover the story of Reading’s magnificent Abbey and its founder, King Henry I (1068-1135); England’s forgotten king. Philippa’s role is to bring the project to life through a TV documentary which will follow the project’s investigations.
