Proofs That We Are Not the 1st Civilization
on This Planet and Presumably Not the Last
AlienStarNet, Octobrer 5, 2022
[alienstar.net]
[web.archive.org]

This article is a rehash of various Ooparts that have
been repeatedly published of vanished civilizations.

They are:

1. Klerksdorp “unique rocks.”

These are semispherical concretions of natural origin.

Go look at:

3. “500 million year old footprint,” (Meister footprint, Utah)

This a feature generated by the natural weathering of Wheeler Shale,
Antelope Springs, House Range, Millard County, Utah. Go see:

tracks. Creation/Evolution, 2(4), pp.30-33.

This is concretionary banding ("liesegang rings") in slab
of sedimentary rock. Go see:

5. moissanite grains found in Primorye’s partisan region.

Primorsky Krai, Russia, informally known as “Primorye,”
is a federal district of Russia on its eastern coast. A krai is a
federal district that is legally identical to an oblast. “Primorye”
is loosely translated as 'Maritime Territory'. “Partisan region”
presumably refers to the southern Primorye (Partizansky district)
in which “Partizansky“ translates as “Partisan.” It also might
refer to Partizansky (Partisan) Mountain Range.

Reliable primary sources for the nature, history, and geologic
context for this oopart could not be found. This unsourced
story is that it was alledgely found on an unspecified date,
during the construction of an unnamed forest road across and
unnamed hill in “...southern Primorye (Partizansky district).”
This block of material allegedly was dislodged from a small
structure, less than 1 meter in height, “...consisting of structural
parts of different sizes and shapes.” This fragment was
supposively collected by a geophysicist, Valery
Pavlovich Yurkovets, who had it analyzed ten years later
at an unspecified date and found it to be made of moissanite
a diamond simulant made of silicon carbide. The current
location of this speciment is unknown.

Given the unsource, unreviewed, and fringe nature of the
above web pages, a serious evaluation and verification of
this story not possible. Lacking careful supporting research
of the artifact and reliable documentation about the context
of how and where it was found, this object is no more than
a curiosity at best and not a reliable out-of-place artifact.

6. iron pot “thought to be more than 300 million years old,”
that was discovered in Oklahoma in 1912

This is anecdotal evidence that relies primarily on the text of a
1912 letter by Frank Kennard that lacks the needed collaborating
evidence. It relies solely on the expertise, veracity, and memories
of the individuals involved. As Kuban (2006) states;

“However, without careful forensic work of this nature, and
lacking reliable in-situ documentation, such objects remain
curiosities at best, and not reliable out-of-place artifacts.”

As noted by Isaac (2005), the pot looks like an eighteenth
century iron pot that might have easily been dropped in a
coal mine or workings. Buried in coal, it could have
readily reacted with coal to either form a concretion or had
coal recompressed around it to form what appeared to
be a virgin lump coal. When broken the iron pot would have
fallen out of it as described in the text of the letter

7. “110 million years old” Glen Rose Texas handprint

A loose block of Cretaceous limestone that has often been
promoted as a human "hand print" by Carl Baugh and
other strict creationists. Lacks any reliable evidence for
either its source or geological context. Many Young Earth
creationists regard it to be a carving.

8. “100 million-year-old” “petrified human finger” from
“Axel-Heiberg Island of the Canadian Arctic.”)

This is an elongate rock found in a Texas gravel pit
some ditance from Glen rose, Texas. It is claimed by
Carl Baugh to be a fossilized human finger.
