<HTML>I don't know if anyone is interested in this - this is a pop archaeology show in the UK and they are doing a live speed excavation over the next two / three days live on the net

"Time Team Live 2001 sees the Team investigating one of the rarest objects ever shown on the programme. A brass and silver Byzantine 'situla', or bucket, decorated with a beautiful frieze of leopards, mythical beasts and naked hunters, it is one of only 11 such items found anywhere in the world. When it was buried with its Anglo-Saxon owner in a Hampshire field 1500 years ago, it had already travelled several thousand miles from Antioch in ancient Turkey. So what was it doing in Britain? Who owned it? Why was there a cemetery there?

The Time Team Live 2001 website will be bringing you a daily diary of the dig, together with photos and details of finds, video clips, commentary from Team members and experts, and a range of background information. Viewers will also have the chance to ask their own questions of the Team via the Time Team Forum. Find out more with our overview"........
