It appears that Penon III's mtDNA sequence was determined to belong to mtDNA haplogroup A but I suppose it's possible that another skeleton described in Gonzalez et al's (2003) article was being referred to. Since most 11,000 yo+ human remains have been named, it's odd that Resendez and Kemp did not provide that name and that this genetic information appears to be nowhere else on the Internet.
