Obviously, you have trade through intermediaries. The craftsman in Mesoamerica doesn't travel all the way to California to peddle his wares; the object passes from trader to trader. Thus, there is indirect contact between the two endpoints, but not necessarily direct contact.

It appears you think the "mainstream" just uses valid questions to discredit ideas that you think are cool. You're attacking a straw man again. Do you actually know any professional archaeologists? Do you know anything about the advances that archaeological method and theory have gone through in the last century, and how frequently the paradigm has changed in response to new evidence or new theoretical approaches?
