<HTML>Does this then provide the appropriate context to which that quote was intended? I got the impression that the quote was being used to admonish science and scientists in general for clinging onto flawed concepts rather than to criticise the use of science specifically within warfare. Perhaps this shows just how important the context is when quoting a source.
Science has its flaws but the beauty of it is that those flaws will eventually be exposed and corrected in the course of time. I'd much rather we practised that than religiously believe in ideals that can never be disproven or corrected when shown to be wrong.
