For all of Bauval's attempted hitting Kate Spence with "they've found a fatal error in your calculations", nothing in their article supports the view that the Ancient Egyptians not only were aware of the effects of precession (no one disputes that) but that they understood the causes behind precession and could retro-calculate dates in order for Giza to commemorate the era of 10 500 BC.
