I'm sure you jest! Usually, as with Rudgely being recommended by GH, it's a matter not of open-mindedness but of claiming support where, in fact, there is none. The Jomon/N. America spin is a good example: these propositions offer <i>nothing</i> in support of GH's contentions, but they are championed as if they do, somehow. I think what GH wants his readers to think is that, once more, the "orthodoxy" has been proven wrong somehow when, in fact, it's a matter of archaeology doing what it always does -- changing/modifying conclusions in the face of new evidence/analysis.
