Hans: The earth didn't die the first time why would it need "rebirth"?

A doomsday message if you like. The AEs, however, 'cotrrupted' this wider message with the concept of the death and rebirth of the King. Or perhaps the Priesthood who were custodians of the 'sacred plan' explained it in such terms to the Pharaoh in order to bring him 'on-board' thereby acquiring the resources to see the plan through to completion.

Hans: Lots of maybe's in that - a lot of work (for the AE) any idea why no earlier examples and follow on examples and lenghtly discussion? Why no repeats of such an important god driven idea - which god by the way?
