Now, Doug, I hate to argue with such a well-researched article, but this entry gives the actual history of that same area, and I have to say it seems to be much better informed, coming as it does from surviving texts.

I should also like to point out that my version has the virtue of scholarship, as it was researched at Oxford, unlike yours, which seems to have been done via pulps.
