Dave, I hate to break this to you. but mutts are NOT healthier than purebred dogs.
The difference is that responsible breeders screen for genetic issues & we do our best
to improve our stock. Backyard breeders, puppymillers et al don't, and they give us a
bad rap.
Mutts, OTOH, are not checked for anything at all; they are as unhealthy as any dog.
