I was horrified to read about that. Just this weekend we're on a rock art tour of the Del Rio (Texas) area. We got to see Panther Cave and tomorrow we'll tour Rattlesnake.

I don't understand those who think the art is worthless trash, to be "improved" by their names.

Last year I talked with some rangers about vandalism at a site. They'd caught the perps, and the perps saw no harm in what they had done. The perps' "purpose" was to paint their name on every place they visited.

Me, I wanted to visit their home and spraypaint my name allll over it (and their cars) and see how they felt about the whole thing afterwards.
