I am posting this to both boards to show my absolute distaste for both of you and what has been the major topic of conversations on both them, basically THE BOTTOM LINE IT IS HATE LIERATURE AND I REALLY NO LONGER CARE TO BE A PART OF EITHER OF YOU ! There are certain individuals, you know who you are John Wall, Mike Brass and Philip Gould who have made it a carrier out of going from e-zine to e-zine trying and in some cases ( such as Egypt_News and Edfu ) destroying what started off as a good exchange of alternative ideas. These individuals, in my opinion have yet in the three years I have been on the net failed to come up with one original idea. Their sole claim to fame is their obsession with trying to destroy reputations and seeing who can outdo who in the way of insults and sick humour. John Wall in particualr has been asked to leave more than one board for his insistance on basically being little more than a heckler.
I was hoping yours would be somehow different but I see that I was wrong. It is the same old story as before with the same individuals hell bent on destroying what was once a good thing. Katherine I hold you personally responsible for the way the Ma'at site has deteriorated over the last week or so and if you consider the numbers more important than the contents than so be it. Rohl is off topic, conspiracies are off topic but constant verbal abuse levelled against two individuals is apparently okay. I have had enough of "Ma'at" ( doesn't this mean truth and justice ? ) and so I bid your board a fond farewell and trust me when I say that the hate that is so prevalent on it right now will indeed be it's downfall.
In regards to Mr. Hancock and Mr. Bauval I wish to state that although I agree with some of your thoughts I find the way that you answer your critics is in the same league as those that attack you. Both of you seem determined to hurt the other side and in my humble opinion this is not at all what debate is all about. Many individuals have tried to start interesting discussions only to be sidetracked with this neverending petty bickering. I have had it and will withdraw from your site as well. Unfortunately your new found freedom of the press so to speak has only given the other side free reign to post whatever spiteful things that pop into their minds and sadly in some case you have chosen to respond in kind. I find it amazingly immature of both sides that grown men ( and women ) can stoop to these sad things. Perhaps in a while I will check back but I really have heard John's, and Mike's and Philip's arguments and "rantings" many, many times and I simply don't need it anymore. Thanks for nothing !
