Hmmm... pardon me for waxing philosophically...
Mr. Spock used to say that emotions were not real... illogical... controllable. I grew up thinking that.
Years ago, though, I came to the realization that of all the things we experience in this world, the most real are our own feelings. We can be tricked into experiencing all sorts of external stimuli, but our feelings, even if they've been fooled into existence, are still real to us.
Actually, it was brought on by the lyrics to a song (the love theme from "Princess Bride", actually): My love is like a storybook story, but it's as real as the feelings I feel".
So, if Johnee sees the stone pulse, or the ArchDruid feels the power of five millenia of natural energy... who are we to argue with their senses?
Okay... back to proving historical theories...
