If people are looking for a "pyramid", with nice sharp lines, they should
try Antarctica :-)
Go look at "A cloud passes by windblown Pyramid Peak, in Antarctica" Poster
Store, [
brandy.weblogs.us]
Then there is Black Pyramid Mountain in Egypt at [
www.globalcitizen.co.uk]
and [
www.globalcitizen.co.uk]
Australia has a Pyramid Hill at [
home.iprimus.com.au]
and [
home.iprimus.com.au]
Also, a searchable listing of place names in the United States is the
Geographic Names Information Systems at [
geonames.usgs.gov]
A search using Feature Name = "pyramid" and Feature Class = "summit".
created a list of 112 "summits. Of these "summits", 12 are named
"Pyramid Mountain", 45 are named "Pyramid Peak", 4 are named "The
Pyramids", 5 are named "The Pyramid", 6 are named "Pyramid Butte(s),
6 are named "Pyramid Rock", and so forth.
A search using Feature Name = "pyramid" and Feature Class = "ridge"
and found a Pyramid Ridge and Pyramid Hill.
The names in this list are linked to a page with a more detailed
description of the feature and links to topographic maps and aerial
photographs. An ambitious person, if they searched through the
"summits" in these lists, might be able find their own American
"pyramids". Why should the Bosnians have all of the fun?
