There are some interesting theories wrt Amenhotep III/Akhenaten - it's been suggested that the Aten worshipped by Akhenaten was his deified, but still living, father.
Then was his deified wife Nefertiti the Aten when she became his "coregent" how about "smenkhare" when he became akhenatens coregent, or how about "tutankhamen" who might have been a corgent to Akh. after Smenkhare died. Wait maybe tut was co-regent with Akh or Smenkhare or but there's always the possibility that Nefertiti was corgent with Tut and Smenkhare? Let's not forget that there's one school of thought that Tut was coregent with his wife and so forth and so on......Strange how one king had so many "co-regencies" that nobody can keep up with them but somehow he didn't leave one shred of definitive evidence behind.
