In a discussion on the use of mirrored half faces, my esteemed opponent has made the following statement

...the idea of mirroring “half-faces” is acceptable in the archaeological community...

This is in the context of showing what they believe to be a half face from a satellite picture of a land mass, mirroring it and then saying its proof of Mesoamerican influence as the resulting face is said to resemble Mayan writing.

Anyone care to comment? I don't think this would be deemed acceptable evidence but then I'll ask the knowledgable people here.
