<HTML>Rohl is not the only one to propose a reduction in the sequnece of late dynastic Egyptian history - Peter James et al are others, although they do not argue for as great a reduction as does Rohl. I know zero about the intricacies of their arguments and the rebuttals offered by Kitchen, but what I do know is that Peter James' "Centuries of Darkness" has been cited in standard Egyptological works such as Nicholas Grimal's "A History of Ancient Egypt" (as a genuine work, not as an example of a crank), and James has had lengthy debates in the Cambridge Journal of Archaeology with Kitchen.
