The best source for ancient mentions of the Pyramids are still the various appendices in Howard Vyse's "Operations Carried on at the Pyramids of Gizeh in 1837". He covers ancient authors and later Arab writers and then early European writers. Many of the translations he uses have become the standard versions even if they are not always credited as such.

A smaller selection of quotes (largely drawn from Vyse) can be found in "The Complete Pyramid Sourcebook" by John DeSalvo (2003).
